Humanities
World War II
In my humanities this past year, we learned about a variety of topics. Some of those topics include World War II, the Civil War, Colorado, and immigration. For each of these topics, we created different projects to show our learning. My favorite humanities project from this past year was my World War II spark page. This was my favorite project because I felt like it showed off my learning and research skills. Our task was to pick a conflict that occurred in the past and inform people about the war through a spark page. We needed to pick ten topics from a long list which included things like music, protests, economy, draft, leadership, casualties, roles of women, etc. Once we had all ten topic we had to find 3-4 pictures about each topic, with 1 video, an overview of the topic, an explanation of how this topic influenced the conflict, and we needed to compare the topic to the oppositions approach, as well as argue our opinion on the war. I chose the topics geography, purpose, pros and cons, leadership, timeline, draft, roles of women, casualties, economy, media, results, and a compare and contrast with World War I. This project really informed me about wars and the difficulties people face. I feel like I learned a lot of background about them and understand more about our history.
